QPOC Tumblr Meet UP! @ the Allied Media Conference in Detroit (6/30)Greetings folks. I figured it was about time I started advertising that I’m going to be holding space at the Allied Media Conference this year for a gathering of self-identified queer black and brown folks from tumblr and you’re all invited! The Details
The Queer People of Color Tumblr Meet UP! will be an opportunity for QPOC to come together to discuss our experiences navigating the interesting arena of online space that so heavily mimics the complexities of IRL queer organizing communities, in power dynamics and more, known as Tumblr. My hope is that folks will leave having answered these questions:
What do networks of survival look like for people of color navigating online blogging space?
What does solidarity with other people of color, specifically against anti-Black racism, look like in tumblr space?
And some other things that I haven’t quite thought of yet!5:30PM - 8:00PM / SAT (6-30) DINNER BREAKMEMORIAL HALL(CASS COMMUNITY COMMONS)ps. I’d absolutely love to partner with some awesome (and way more prominent) qpoc tumblr folks on this! Send me an ask here or email me at afagforglitter@gmail.com if you’re interested in collaborating or just need more info.
And signal boost please!

QPOC Tumblr Meet UP! @ the Allied Media Conference in Detroit (6/30)

Greetings folks.

  • What do networks of survival look like for people of color navigating online blogging space?
  • What does solidarity with other people of color, specifically against anti-Black racism, look like in tumblr space?

And some other things that I haven’t quite thought of yet!

5:30PM - 8:00PM / SAT (6-30) DINNER BREAK
MEMORIAL HALL
(CASS COMMUNITY COMMONS)

ps. I’d absolutely love to partner with some awesome (and way more prominent) qpoc tumblr folks on this! Send me an ask here or email me at afagforglitter@gmail.com if you’re interested in collaborating or just need more info.

And signal boost please!

Portrait/Logo

We are a friendly queer couple in our twenties. One of us is a cisgender woman named Tashia and the other is a trans* guy named Riley. We blog about life, love, and whatever we find that could be useful or interesting to human rights activists of all kinds.

We specifically created this safe space for folks in need of guidance/advice regarding:

★ relationships/dating
★ coming out
★ dealing w/dysphoria
★ transitioning
★ safe sex/sex education
★ and much more

We especially hope to provide help to those who identify as trans* and/or queer or questioning.
